Philosophy

Children are special individuals. Each child will be accepted and appreciated in a safe, nurturing environment and will be encouraged to develop socially, cognitively emotionally, intellectually, and physically at his/her/ pace. Children learn through active body, and five senses, curiosity and experience. Emphasis is given to the development of a child’s sense of self worth through an atmosphere of love and caring. Purpose The San Carlos Apache Tribe Child Care center is to provide increased quality and affordable child care services to low income families.

Priority as follows:

Enrolled tribal members who are attending job training, high school, college, educational training. That qualifies on the state Median Income Chart. Enrolled members that are employed and qualify on the state Median Income Chart. (Emergency Care) for children of C.P.S. foster care children, depending on slots available. Fees will be exempt Over income enrolled tribal members Non Tribal member.

Enrollment Requirements

Complete application/ submitted with the following :
  • Birth certificate
  • Certificate of Indian Blood
  • Immunization Records
  • Proof of income
Income Requirements
  • All parents/ existing parents:
  • All the time of enrollment you must provide the center with the last two check stubs from both parents.
  • Parents will sign income verification, the Child Care Program will submit to  your employer, thereafter annually. You are required to report all income changes within 10 days. Failure to do so will result in back pay to the center or your services will be terminated. Your child care services will cease if you fail to comply.
  • If a parent learns he/she is over State Median Income Chart, and agrees to pay full flat fee, then parents will be exempt from Income requirements.
